PURPLE ALERT: Paisley Park operations will be transitioning from P. Park/Graceland to the Estate. As for when it will take effect, either September 1st or October 2nd. Most likely October. No further details at this time. Bottom line: Graceland is out.

Je ne vois pas à quel endroit dans l'article ils parlent des prochaines sorties ?

Sinon cela me fait penser à ce qu'avait dit Sharon avait dit en Avril dernier, comme quoi l'Estate serait en faillite d'ici la fin de l'année...
Il est à noter qu'ils ont vendu des terres que Prince possédait..

@robbielive: Les lignes citées par slimongi sont bien dans l'article. Peut-être que tu n'as pas ouvert tout l'article?
Nous ne savons pas pourquoi les terres ont été vendues. Suggérer que l'estate est en faillite et que ce serait la raison relève de la spéculation.

A new Paisley Park executive director will be named, and two longtime Prince associates, Trevor Guy and Kirk Johnson, will likely continue in their roles as creative adviser and Paisley Park estate manager, respectively. They had been working with Prince on the idea of converting the 65,000-square foot studios into a part-time museum, with plans the rock star had outlined, before his death on April 21, 2016.

Since he left no will, Prince's estate has been mired in legal and tax issues. With his assets valued at perhaps $300 million, it has created a sizable tax burden even though the family hasn't been able to monetize all potential properties.

A memoir that Prince began working on before his death, "The Beautiful Ones," will be published Oct. 29 by Random House.

The estate has signed a deal with Netflix for a documentary series, allowing the filmmakers access to unreleased materials — recordings, concert footage, movies, etc. — in Prince's storied Paisley Park vault. Ava DuVernay, the celebrated moviemaker of "Selma" and "A Wrinkle in Time," recently stepped down as director of the Prince project, with a replacement expected to be announced soon.

Some land that Prince owned has been sold, including a 188-acre parcel in Chanhassen that Lennar Corp. is developing into 169 homes.

Paisley Park staffers were told of the impending changes in meetings on Monday morning and late afternoon. Tours of the museum are offered six days a week, with prices ranging from $38.50 (general admission) to $160 (VIP).

In a statement released late Monday, the estate said it is "committed to continued growth and development of Paisley Park, passionately presenting Prince's life and work and connecting authentically with his fans — both new and old — each and every day."

C’est pas une petite parcelle.
P voulait être isolé, pour un musée c’est moins nécessaire et l’enceinte de PP (bâtiment rond inachevé, etc.) permettent certainement d’agrandir sans dénaturer.
C’est tout de même étrange de vendre au moment où on trouve un nouvel administrateur pour la gestion de PP?

En effet j'avais lu l'article trop vite, je n'avais pas vu la mention de 1999. Bonne nouvelle donc.

Pour ce qui est de la vente des terres, oui évidemment c'est de la spéculation.
Mais on ne peut ignorer pour autant ce que Sharon avait dit en Avril, et le changement d'administrateur qui est en train de se faire.
Dans les 2 articles (celui d'Avril et de maintenant) c'est Sharon qui est citée, donc je ne pense pas qu'elle racontait de la merde en Avril.

Peut-être (ok encore de la spéculation) que la vente des terres a été nécessaire pour solder le contrat avec l'ancien administrateur.

Il est évident que la gestion de Paisley Park et du Vault doivent coûter de l'argent, et donc, reste à savoir si les ventes de disques et de merchandising suffisent ou non à payer tous les frais.

Pour moi la sortie des prochains disques (sur les années à venir) dépendra de la rentabilité de tout ça.

Très bonne nouvelle pour le "1999 deluxe", si cela se confirme bien dans les faits!
Pour ce qui est de la situation financière pour l'Estate, j'avoue avoir du mal à imaginer que Paisley Park (un musée, désormais) et la gestion du Vaut (numérisation) puissent être source de coûts exorbitants et pertes potentielles d'ampleur. La négociation avec Sony a dû être très lucrative pour l'Estate, avec des objectifs de sorties à venir. Encore une fois, imaginer que PP et The Vaut puissent constituer un gouffre financier me dépasse dans ce contexte.
Que l'Estate vende des domaines de Prince me semble en revanche très logique. Que feraient-ils tous ces domaines divers et variés, avec l'imposition qui va avec?
Au final, si quelqu'un comprend mieux que moi ce mic-mac juridico-financier, qu'il n'hésite pas à s'exprimer! ;)
Personnellement ce que je comprends est que les héritiers de Prince ont hérité des fonds déposés en banque de Prince, de domaines (qu'ils font bien de vendre), de Paisley Park (un lieu de vie et studio d'enregistrement transformé en musée et donc a priori bien moins cher à faire tourner), de ses droits d'auteurs, du Vaut (multiples enregistrements inédits qu'ils numérisent, est-ce là vraiment si cher?). De plus, ils ont signé un contrat d'ampleur avec Sony (du coup, que cela marche ou pas, où est la perte pour les héritiers désormais?).
Bon, en même temps, j'essaie de me rassurer puisque la pire chose désormais serait que les sorties (inédites) prennent fin, alors qu'ils ont de quoi sortir un album inédit par an pendant des décennies. Il suffit de voir le nombre de titres parmi lesquels ils ont sélectionné les morceaux d'Originals.
