Je pense que c'est une mention qui est là pour signaler à quiconque l'ignorerait ou l'aurait oublié (quel public indigne...) que Prince n'arrête jamais de produire et de sortir de la nouvelle musique de façon plus ou moins exposée, et que cet album n'est pas un comeback artistique mais médiatique, parce qu'il en a décidé ainsi.

Prince ne doit pas trop apprécier le concept classique de comeback qui sous-entend qu'il n'a pas été productif depuis un moment. Alors il utilise son propre jargon, pour bien marquer sa différence de positionnement.

When Ricky and I went to NYC to work on David Sanborn (Official)'s record, we were asked to clear out the office. It was the end of an era. I remember being mad at myself for never insisting on talking with Prince to clear the air, and genuinely say thank you or sorry, or whatever. I ended up sending a note over, just so I would have closure. I thought that would be it.......Several days later, I received a call to go and meet with him. I did, and I remember being nervous, cause I didn't know what he wanted.
He made me wait, and I was uncomfortable, which I am sure was the intent. (I could be wrong) He came and asked me what I was doing, and if I wanted to join his band.
I about flipped out......Unfortunately there were a few stipulations that didn't end up working for me. We laughed, I said my peace, and I left in peace.
It wasn't until many years later (the past few years) that we have reconnected....Each meeting has been extremely cordial, quirky and cool.
I welcome the opportunity to play at his record release party....Life is short, I say welcome the unexpected.
Congratulations #Prince.

With Liv Warfield & Bkackbird watching from the side, it was evident that something else was gonna go down. As soon as LP Music's show ended, they stage was set up 4 Liv & Blackbird.

Liv and her band did what they normally do, they SHUT IT DOWN!
As back-up singer Saeeda Wright sang a solo, PRINCE began 2 watch from the side of the NPGMC Room stage, through a cracked access door! Lainie waved at him and he waved back! He then jumped on stage in all white pants and a long-sleeve P&3EG PLECTRUM ELECTRUM shirt and shook a towel at Saeeda 2 cool her off. She was blazing hot, as was Ashley Seamster, Blackbird's other back-up singer!

Prince then continued 2 watch from the side of the door and eventually jumped back onstage again, grabbinRyan Watersss' Fender guitar and joined Liv and band with an animated guitar solo! Then again, he was gone but did reappear 2 dance in the big room later with 3EG.
It was so great 2 not only see him but 2 hear him play guitar on stage 4 a bit 2!
A dance party from DJ Kiss finished out the night with fair amount of Prince tunes but it's never enough 4 me!

The Paisley Park tours continued but I was ready 4 LIVE music 2nite and I never left the front of the stage. I want 2 savor last nights tour 4 a L O N Gtime


2morrow will B Day 3, after most of my friends head 2 First Avenue 1st 4 D'angelo's show!!!

The 2006 "3121" shirt posted here, was the only new merchandise that I saw. There were very few and I was 4tunate 2 get 1!
It's such a great double-sided shirt and I've never seen it B4!
