Schkopi.com : Prince et Minneapolis Sound

Depuis que je me suis fendu d'une chaine hi-fi de qualité je réécoute (pour de vrai) de la musique et j'achète des disques à tour de bras. La question que je me pose: quels sont les albums à posséder absolument?

L'objectif n'est pas de sortir les perles rares et méconnues du répertoire d'un groupe ou d'un artiste, mais de sortir le ou les albums cultissimes à posséder pour le profane. Exemples: je suis un fou de l'album "Queen II" du groupe du même nom, mais l'album culte c'est "A night at the opera", pour Floyd, "The dark side of the moon" n'est pas mon préféré, mais la réponse ici serait celui là.

Je me lance,de manière fragmentaire et aléatoire, en espérant qu'il n'y a pas un autre topic idem (j'ai cherché).

Quid d'Elvis, des Who, de Jimi... et des artistes des 80', 90', 2000?

C'est une première salve, j'attends les vôtres et en ajouterai plus tard. Rappel: ce n'est pas votre album culte d'un musicien, mais l'album universellement culte.

Pour quelques d'artistes, c'est quand même difficile de n'en sortir qu'un sans être subjectif.
Rien que pour Prince certains diraient Purple Rain, pour JB c'est pas évident non plus...

Pardon mais je ne comprend pas bien l'utilité du topic. Si on veut avoir l'album qui a le plus de succès il suffit de voir les ventes non ?

Si on cherche à établir une liste "objective" des disques cultes on a pas besoin de tous amener notre petite liste, il doit y avoir des classements et des listes toutes faites.

En plus j'ai déja relevé des conflits pour Jimi Hendrix, RHCP, Stevie Wonder, The Clash, Talking Heads, Bowie et Pink Floyd.
Et j'en redoute sur Bob Marley et James Brown...

Pas forcément. Même si dans bien des cas... c'est le cas.
