Pas de préféré, pas bcoup de soul/funk en afit... Une chose est sur, c'est que le fan de Prince est vraiment hétéroclite (de Aerosmith à céline Dion) ! bravo donc pour cet ouverture d'esprit !!!!

+1, je suis un énorme fan de Radiohead et malgré quelques bons morceaux, on est loin des expérimentations sonores du groupes des autres albums.

En fait je ne pense pas qu'il y ai de meilleurs album ou non... enfin si quand meme!!!

Mais cela depend de nos emotions, du moment ou nous l'écoutons, la periode de notre vie. Puis effectivement il ya des decouvertes qui nous suivent toutes notre vie. Des claques musicales comme j'appelle ca.

Comme quoi, les goûts et les couleurs... Mais je sais que je suis très isolé pour défendre ce choix car les fans de la première heure de Dissection rejettent cet album, qui à mon avis, n'est pas vraiment comparable au reste de la discographie du groupe, car il relève d'une orientation musicale très différente (beaucoup plus "mélodique" et "accessible", si l'on peut dire...).

Le plus incroyable sur cet album, c'est que Araya chante. L'enchaînement South of heaven / Silent scream est l'un des plus grands moments de l'histoire de la musique.

T'inquiètes, notre passion commune pour Arlette Chabot sera le socle de notre amitié.

C'est CycoZora qui m'a fait connaître mieux ce groupe, le connaissant déjà pour quelques titres et CycoZora - dont on parlait des batteurs qui cognaient sur leur batterie violemment comme Dave Grohl, on est ammené à parler de Dave Lombardo... le connaissant chez le super groupe que j'adore : Fantômas (Mike Patton, mon p'tit sucre d'orge, oué j'adôôôre tout ce qu'il fait sauf son dernier bébé italien) - et donc CycoZora m'a conseillé vivement de réécouter Slayer parce que je ne me souvenais pas de la violence qu'avait Dave Lombardo à la batterie... voilà la p'tite histoire!
Et pour dire j'aime 3 albums d'eux (et que j'ai d'ailleurs) : Reign In Blood, celui titré au-dessus et Seasons in the Abyss. On y voit un progression à l'écoute de ses 3 albums chronologiquement... c'est assez surprenant...

Crois-le ou non, mais Paul Bostaph, son successeur derrière les fûts, est encore meilleur - plus technique mais avec moins de feeling. C'est dire si son niveau est inhumain. Les trois albums que tu cites sont considérés comme les meilleurs. Le live Decade of aggression fait office de bon best-of, avec notamment plusieurs perles issues des 1ers albums (mal servis par une production pourrave pré-Rick Rubin). Avec Bostaph leur son évolue encore, plus sombre et plus glauque. Ecouter en priorité Divine intervention et God hates us all.

Sujet intéressant : c'est quoi un album de légende, d'abord?
Pour moi, ce sera un album qui m'a permis d'en écouter des dizaines d'autres, qui a ouvert des perspectives musicales, que je peux écouter pour le 1000ème fois aujourd'hui et qui me plaise toujours autant.

Les deux Classiques incontournables!

Exercice très difficile que de définir un top 15, lorsqu’un top 30 serait déjà trop réducteur… Ce que je considère comme « mes albums de légende », ce sont :
1) ceux qui, dès la première écoute, se sont imposés à moi comme des disques dont je ne pourrais plus me passer
2) ceux qui, même s’ils ne sont pas forcément ceux que j’écoute le plus souvent, reviennent régulièrement sur ma platine, me procurant toujours un plaisir intact malgré le poids des années depuis leur découverte
3) des disques qui m’ont touché a des moments clé de ma vie, pour des raisons diverses, ce qui implique que la dite légende de concerne que moi et que cette sélection n’a en aucun cas vocation à trouver un écho universel…
